Pre wedding Beauty rules …

I thought I’d share 3 pre wedding rules I would stand by for the imminent lead up to your big day…

1. Don’t do anything drastic! By this I mean don’t go having a microdermabrasion or peel in the week leading up to your day… keep it simple and you won’t be taking chances for having a bad reaction.

2. The day before … Ensure you drink loads of water (especially if your roasting with bubbles the night before!) … make sure you cleanse properly with a double cleanse method and follow with a good eye cream and hydrating moisturiser- hydration is key! Don’t be tempted to try anything new in the last minute hope of getting perfect skin- remember just keep it simple. If you feel a blemish coming, don’t pick it & leave it dehydrate bu keeping it free of any product…

3. On the wedding morning…. wake yourself up with a glass of water, cleanse skin thoroughly and pop on a hydrating sheet mask…a collagen type mask or brightening mask is perfect and helps de puff skin. Avoid any detox type masks as they can usually be quite drying to the skin.

Next just leave your skin free of too many products. I like to create a beautiful long lasting makeup by not overloading the skin with too much so let your artist put the moisturiser and primers they feel is necessary to do this rather than you putting on a load of serum, cream and more- whilst it’s great to do this as part of your skincare routine, for the purpose of long lasting makeup it may not be ideal.

Lastly… wear something comfortable you can easily slip off over hair and makeup and try your best to relax and enjoy the getting ready part of your day.
